How does kilrwhale work?
Post an item for auction today — the hunt closes tomorrow at 9pm NZST. Every hunt runs on the same schedule. Buyers bid by flicking upward. Highest bid when the tide turns wins.
Is it free to list?
Yes. Listing on kilrwhale is completely free. There are no buyer fees either — buyers pay exactly what they bid. A small processing fee is deducted from the seller's payout.
What can I sell?
Physical goods only — electronics, clothing, home & garden, toys & collectibles, sports & outdoors, books & media, tools & DIY. No jobs, property, vehicles, or services.
What happens if my item doesn't sell?
If the auction closes with no bids or the reserve wasn't met, your item enters a short cooldown period ("between tides"). After that, you can hunt again for free.
How do I get paid?
Sellers receive payouts directly to their bank account. You'll see your payout amount after a successful hunt — simple, no hidden fees.
What is Smart Fill?
Smart Fill uses AI to automatically suggest a title, description, category, and condition for your listing based on your photos. You get 10 free uses per month.
How do I delete my account?
Email privacy@kilrwhale.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request" and we'll process it promptly. All your data will be permanently removed.
